ABOUT:
Lady Justice (Margaret Dragu) recalls a horrible outbreak that has swept the Earth (originating in the slums surrounding the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics). Decades later, a strange collection of audio-visual recordings is found on a remote Gulf Island. A lone man (Eric Metcalfe) appears on camera, describing his years in hiding and relationships with a Woman and Boy who may or may not exist. The Boy (the voice of Arthur Tashian) reads excerpts from My Life In The Elevators, an unfinished memoir by Danny Thomas (ex-drummer for The 13th Floor Elevators) amidst flashbacks to the pre-outbreak cable access show Vancouver Rock Talk.

Easter Everywhere
explores some collapsed mythologies of autonomy and transcendence in a world overdetermined by capitalist relations. The film engages with aspects of post-apocalyptic science fiction, amateur television, the essay film, and various histories of performance, video and montage, while serving as an incidental celebration of the 13th Floor Elevators' second album Easter Everywhere (1967, International Artists), arguably the most inspired, urgent and unsung psychedelic rock record of its time.

Easter Everywhere was independently produced by Jeremy Todd in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, beginning in the summer of 2007 and ending in August of 2008. This project was realized without a budget and everyone involved has donated their time, talents and services. It is approximately 68 min. in length and entirely digital in format.
